| UAMR Graduate Centre for Development Studies: Activities 2012 |

In their meeting on 20 December 2011, the members of the steering board of the UAMR Graduate Centre for Development Studies agreed upon a number of activities for the coming year. Publication Series: Two new publication series will be established. The UAMR Studies on Development & Global Governance will provide a platform for publication of PhD Theses for graduates from one of the cooperating PhD programmes. Outstanding graduates from one of the cooperating Mater programmes will be offered the opportunity to publish their Master Theses in the new "UAMR Working Papers on Development & Global Governance". Eligible candidates will be informed about the details in early 2012. Teaching: The IEE seminar "Development Economics", (Prof. Dr. Löwenstein), including an introductory "Tutorial in Economics", (Dr. Bäcker), will be offered for Master Students at INEF and IfP during Summer Semester 2012. The Tutorial is already scheduled for 2 - 6 April 2012. Prof. Dr. Debiel and Prof. Dr. Hartmann will offer a PhD Seminar in October 2012 in Bochum. Details on both seminars will be communicated to participants of the cooperating programmes. Development Day: The Development Day 2012 will take place in Duisburg in early November 2012. |
