Britta Niklas tells us what happened at the South African-German Centre for Development Research lately
New scholarship holders and four second degree students at the South African-German Centre for Development Research
In 2022, two new scholarship holders arrived at UWC, where courses began (still online) during the first term. Sibongiseni Phunguza started with the MA Development Studies and Lucia Osei Asamoah began with the MA Public Administration. They were selected out of 198 applicants and are happy to return to the campus step by step.
Both of them, together with Boitumelo Mngomezulu and Hileleule Getachew, two scholarship holders who started in 2021, also decided to apply for admission to the double degree programme at the Centre. All four of them were additionally admitted to the MA Development Management programme at the Centre (see our article in the MADM section above).
We wish them a successful and happy time!
