10. UN Research Colloquium

Timeela Manandhar and Henrike Roth report on a planned UN Research Colloquium in Bochum

Research Associates and PhD students, Timeela Manandhar and Henrike Roth, have successfully applied for and been granted the honour of having the IEE and the Institute for International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict (IFHV) host the 10th United Nations (UN) Research Colloquium in Bochum. The UN-Research Colloquium is a yearly event organised by the AG Junge UN-Forschung (Engl.: Young Researchers’ Working Group on the United Nations) of the United Nations Association of Germany (DGVN), with the collaboration of a hosting university or research institute. The last iterations have, inter alia, taken place in Berlin, Hamburg, and Bonn.

The focus of this year’s Colloquium will be on the “The UN and Resources”, and is scheduled to take place in the beginning of October 2020 in Bochum. Young researchers, PhD students, and Master students will have the chance to present and discuss their research among peers, discover synergies, and build and engage with their professional network. The Call for Papers and any further updates – including any adjustments contingent to COVID-19 – will be published on the homepages of the IEE, IFHV and DGVN.
