With lots of luggage and happy faces, the 30 Afghan Master students in the MSc in Management and Economics program at RUB just left for four months of field research in their home country.
The lecturers from the Universities of Balkh, Herat, Kabul, Kandahar, Khost and Nangarhar, who started their studies at RUB in August 2011, are leaving Bochum after an intensive 15-month period of course work, completing a total of 90 ECTS credit points.
During their stay in Afghanistan, the student-lecturers will be collecting data and conducting empirical research for their Master theses. The research projects cover a wide range of topics related to marketing, finance and banking, accounting, microeconomics, international economics, development economics and public economics in the specific context of Afghanistan. All topics have been assigned under consideration of Afghanistan's research priorities. We wish all students a very happy reunion with their families and friends and a successful field research! We look forward to welcoming you back in Bochum in April 2013!
