Congratulations Dr. Omolo!

On 15 July 2015, Alphonce Omolo from Kenia has been awarded the degree of a Doctor (Dr. phil.) at the Faculty for Philosophy and Educational Research at RUB in the field of Comparative Education. During his studies at RUB Alphonce Omolo was a member of the PhD Programme in International Development Studies (PhD IDS).

His thesis "Violence against Children in Kenya: Towards an Ecological Model of Risk Factors and Consequences, Responses and Projects" has been supervised by Prof. Dr. Christel Adick (RUB) and Prof. Dr. Annette Scheunpflug (Bamberg University). The thesis will be published soon in the series "Historisch-Vergleichende Sozialisations- und Bildungsforschung", Waxmann Verlag: Münster / New York.
