After the successful defence of her PhD Thesis on Wednesday, 7th May 2025, Ms. Laura Hofmann has been awarded the degree of a Philosophiae Doctor (Ph.D.).

Her thesis with the title “Cultural Heritage through the Lens of Human Rights Bodies: Meaning, Rights, and Obligations” was supervised by Prof. Dr. Pierre Thielbörger and Prof. Dr. Markus Kaltenborn. Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Löwenstein, speaker of the PhD Programme in International Development Studies chaired the oral exam.
