Short Profile
Elkhan focuses on the questions of environmental, energy, and resource economics and management. The questions of environmental upgrading and agricultural development in the Global South and the role of digitalization play a central role in his works. In the publications of the last three years he has been focusing on the question of green hydrogen rollout, bioeconomy development, management of fisheries, the role of natural resources, environmental development cooperation projects and reviews on the energy futures of our planet. In 2023, the US-based Stanford University has placed him in the Top 2% of the most-cited scientists in the world.
