From 14th-18th September, Dr. Britta Niklas and Henrike Roth of IEE hosted the „International Summer School on the Global Wine Market“ offered to students studying the BSc in Management and Economics at Ruhr-Universität Bochum .
The Summer School was supported by great international colleagues, most of them also participating in the new Horizon Europe MSCA Staff Exchange project “WINES”. While Kym Anderson (University of Adelaide, Australia) gave a fantastic introduction to the global wine market, the most recent challenges and trends were presented by Magalie DUBOIS (Burgundy Business School, France), Olivier Gergaud and Florine Livat (KEDGE Business School, France) , Adeline Alonso Ugaglia (Bordeaux Sciences AGRO, France) , Vicente Pinilla (University Zaragoza, Spain) , Philippe Masset (EHL Hospitality School Lausanne, Switzerland), Katharina Kleiner (Weincampus Neustadt, Germany), Antoine Pinède (University Lausanne, Switzerland) , Alexandre Guedes (University de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, Portugal) and Radu Mihailescu (NHL Stenden, Netherlands).
The Summer School was a great success and students will present their written assignments in October.
