GSSP Scholarships for PhD in International Development Studies in 2021 and 2022

The IEE has successfully applied for the "Graduate School Scholarship Programme" (GSSP) of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). As a result, we will have the opportunity to nominate two selected applicants of the PhD in International Development Studies in 2021 and 2022 for a DAAD scholarship.

Via the GSSP, the DAAD supports doctoral education in structured PhD programmes, which have become an essential part of the qualification process of young academics in Europe and Germany. Such programmes have high standards regarding the selection and hosting of doctoral students, offering an international research environment, and the opportunity to integrate unique perspectives particularly from foreign applicants.

Details regarding the application procedure will be communicated on the IEE website soon. Potential candidates for the PhD IDS and a DAAD scholarship should take note of the slightly changed application deadline of our PhD programme, which is now on 31 March for the 2021 and 2022 cohorts.
