Short Profile

Luiza is a Marie Curie Fellow (ADAPTED) and a PhD candidate at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (Faculty of Law) and Ruhr-Universität Bochum (IEE). Her research revolves around the intersecting topics of transnational tax justice and human rights. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) with an exchange semester abroad at the University of Coimbra (Portugal), a Master of Laws in International and Comparative Law (LL.M) from Trinity College Dublin (Ireland) and a Master of International Affairs (MA) from the Hertie School (Germany). Luiza is a qualified lawyer admitted to the Brazilian Bar, and she has worked in public bodies as well as in private legal practice. Her experience in the realm of international development stems from working for the German development agency (GIZ) in Lusaka (Zambia), as well as for a development consultancy based in Berlin.
