IEE's PhD IDS students Ricardo Paris and Camilo Ucrós attended EADI's 2024 PhD Symposium. The event took place on May 27 and 28, 2024, at Humboldt University Berlin and was jointly organized by EADI and the Centre for Rural Development (SLE). Facilitated as an opportunity for master’s students and PhD researchers to engage with the development community, the thematic focal areas were green industrialisation, green transitions and energy supply chains in the Global South. Moreover, the symposium brought together students based with German institutions in the disciplines of Development Studies, International Relations, Development Economics and Peace and Conflict Studies.

Camilo presented his research project and some preliminary research findings as part of the session on "Peace, Conflict and Democracy." Ricardo's presentation was part of a session on "spaces in transformation", in which he provided insights from his research building on Geo-ethnography and critical remote sensing.
