After successful defense of her PhD thesis on Friday, 21st June 2013, Martina Lembani from Malawi has been awarded the degree of a Philosophiae Doctor (Ph.D.).

Her thesis on "Analysis of the Effectiveness of Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in HIV and AIDS Service Delivery: the case of Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) Programme in Malawi" was supervised by Prof. Dr. Löwenstein. Second supervisor was Prof. Dr. Hartmann from the University of Duisburg-Essen.
