The Institute of Development Research and Development Policy is mourning the loss of Ernst-Albrecht von Renesse.

He served as the executive director of the IEE from its foundation until his retirement in 1995. His many years of service at the IEE are as unforgettable as his ongoing interest in the institute's development after he retired. Ernst-Albrecht von Renesse passed away on 22 August 2025. We would like to express our sincere condolences to his family.
