PhD IDS Student Camilo Ucros Soler has successfully defended his PhD thesis titled "Bregando con el colectivo: Transitions of Former FARC Combatants in Collective Socioeconomic Reincorporation." The defence took place at the IEE on Monday, March 16th, 2026. Camilo has been awarded the degree of a Philosophiae Doctor (Ph.D.).

Camilo's PhD thesis was supervised by Prof. Dr. Christian Gudehus (RUB) and Prof. Dr. Sabine Kurtenbach (German Institute for Global and Area Studies, GIGA). The examination committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Löwenstein of the IEE.
