Stefan Buchholz supports the SA-GER CDR as the new DAAD-Lecturer at the University of the Western Cape.

Dr. Stefan Buchholz has joined the Institute of Social Development (ISD) at the University at the Western Cape (UWC) in September as a post-doc and lecturer for research methods and social sciences. Stefan Buchholz is a well-known face to our Institute. Between 2004 and 2014 Stefan worked as a lecturer and research associate at the IEE, which has established a long lasting academic cooperation with the ISD since 2001. Stefan studied Social Sciences at the Ruhr-University Bochum in Germany and finished his PhD in 2014. His academic expertise is situated in the field of empirical research on social aspects of HIV/AIDS in South Africa. In connection with his position at the ISD, Stefan Buchholz acts as the new DAAD-Lecturer at UWC. As a DAAD-Lecturer Stefan supports the work of the SA-GER CDR in Cape Town which is one of the DAAD-Centres of African Excellence.
