The Political Ecologies of Reintegration Processes in Colombia
This project will explore whether the manner in which development and conservation initiatives proposed within the ETCR reflect conscious decision-making of the part of its members and whether any divergences from programs promoted by the Colombian state are leading to new forms conflict, cooperation, or negotiation. It will also explore whether these interactions and collective action provide an opportunity for former guerrilla members to redefine their identities as civilians and/or peasants in times of peace, drawing from sources located in the nexus of the village, the region and the territory.
