Afghan Master Students Leaving for Field Research

With lots of luggage and happy faces, the 30 Afghan Master students in the MSc in Management and Economics program at RUB just left for four months of field research in their home country.

Afghan Minister of Higher Education visits the RUB

On 15 November 2012, the Afghan Minister of Higher Education, HE Prof. Dr. Obaidullah Obaid, visited the Ruhr University Bochum (RUB). The Minister informed himself about the state of the on-going cooperation programmes between the RUB and Afghan Faculties of Management and Economics, as well as between the University Duisburg-Essen (UDE), RUB and the University of Kabul in the field of German studies and German language training.

New Group of MADM Students Started in Bochum

For 17 out of the 27 new master students of the MADM programme, the German-language course in Bochum has started. On Monday 6th of August the group got together with their teacher Illa Hammann for the first time. After a small reception at the institute, staff members of the IEE offered a campus tour for the new students.

Afghan Master Students in Berlin

Afghan lecturers from Balkh, Herat, Kabul, Kandahar, Khost and Nangarhar, who are currently studying in the MSc in Management and Economics programme at RUB, recently visited Wolfsburg and Berlin during an official three-day excursion. The programme was jointly organized by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the IEE.

2012-08 CampusRun The IEE was actively represented at the RUB "Campus Run" by Khwaja Muhammad Ahmadzi (27), a lecturer of Kandahar Faculty of Economics. Khwaja, who is currently studying in the MSc in Management and Economics program for Afghan lecturers at RUB, not only represented the IEE but also his country as the only participant from Afghanistan!
